Time flies by, and the year of 2021 is coming to a close. To bring every FINer a happy end of 2021 as well as welcome the New Year of 2022, the fascinating FINest Night was held, once in a year time at the ADG Sports Industry Incubation Center on December 26, 2021. After a long and intensive journey of Semester 1, all FINers were able to unwind and chill out at the FINest Night, showcasing their talents and a different self outside of school.

Tonight, we were very much excited to have Mr. Ke Zhibin , senior lecturer of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) Institute of Advanced Finance , Ms. Wang Xiulu , former senior managing director of China Merchants Securities and national first-level human resources manager, and Tian Ye and Yang Xiaoxu, project managers of MSc in Finance with us to enjoy this event. And the show-up of Mr. Keith Law who was invited as our mystery guest has also lit up the night’s atmosphere. So, without further ado, please follow me and let’s everyone go back to that wonderful night.

At the beginning of the party, Professor Shu Tao, Deputy Dean of SFI and Director of the MSc in Finance sent warm greetings to everyone via video chat, and delivered his best wishes to all students for the coming year.

Then here came the course introduction of the upcoming semester. Course selection starting at the very beginning of the semester has long been a tradition what students strive for their best to choose their ideal courses. In this case, we would definitely expect another intensive but fruitful semester to come.

Lucky draw could always ignite everyone’s passion. So was it for the FINest night. During the interval, a tea break came just in time to allow students to chat and express their gratitude to teachers and friends around at this very moment; meanwhile, tasty snacks and drinks were also prepared to supplement more energy for the coming fantastic performance.

The long-awaited performances have finally come. Let’s enjoy it together!

To begin with, Xiao Mengqi presented the song “Me and the Sky”. Everyone seemed to be immersed in her beautiful voice.

Classic dance performance did symbolize the elegance and beauty of Chinese culture. The next performer, Li Zhen dressed in ancient clothes came to the stage with the classic dance “Sigh”, catching sight of every single person on and off the stage.

The next show was the wonderful song “Like the wind” brought by Wang Yufeng. What a mix of gentle voice and beautiful melody!

Right after that, Dong Boyuan performed a song called “Horizon” with his Tinwhistle.

And great shows have not yet finished. Two impressive performances, namely the songs “Dream” and “Twenty-two” seemed to be telling the stories of most students presenting.

FINest Night was full of surprises, and music performances alone could never satisfy the audience. We were more than surprised when the two lovely girls Meng Xingtong and Peng Xinyi came up to the stage and presented the fun talk show "SFI Appreciation Channel", making everybody throw their heads back laughing.

So this has come to an end? Absolutely not! How about this unexpected singing show “The first confession” and “I like you” presented by the mystery guest Keith Law with Ding Chenxuan and Xia Jianglong who were also known as the “NEW TFBOYS”. Guys! Give it up!

The last song “No More Hesitation” pushed the party to the climax.

The 2021 FINest Night has finally come to an end, and tonight would undoubtedly become an unforgettable memory for everyone. Thanks to the hosts Wu Dilong, Wang Yufei, Tan Haoyue, the members of the joint class committee of the 2021 MSc in Finance program and the program staff who assisted in organizing the whole party.

FINest will always be a big family, and we will keep staying all along with you next year!
