CFA charter holders/candidates have an opportunity to be exempted from part of admission assessments
Master of Science Programme in Finance at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen has been decided that the programme will launch a fast channel for CFA charter holders and candidates since January 5, 2022.
Therefore, CFA charter holders/candidates have an opportunity to be exempted from part of the programme’s admission assessments, the details are as follows,
(1) For CFA charter holders who apply for Master of Science in Finance (part-time) or Master of Science in Finance (Financial Management Concentration) will be eligible to be exempted from the written assessment and group interview as long as they meet our admissions requirements. Individual interview assessment is still required.
In addition, CFA charter holders who meet our admissions criteria can get the third-class entrance scholarship or above once they are successfully admitted. Whether they can get a higher level of entrance scholarship depends on the comprehensive evaluation of the applicant's background and performance.
(2) For CFA candidates who have passed Level I, Level II or Level III of the CFA exams and apply for Master of Science in Finance (part-time) or Master of Science in Finance (Financial Management Concentration) will be eligible to be exempted from the written assessment. Group interview and individual interview assessments are both required. The prerequisite for exemption is also to meet our admissions requirements.
Please note that If applicants were found providing false information during their applications, our programme may dispose such situations pursuant to the University’s internal disciplinary rules, including disqualifying the applicants for scholarship and admission.
